Amazon has announced that it will not renew an actor contract, which was accused by an assistant and actress of improper conduct.
Amazon said on Thursday it had fired actor Jeffrey Tambor of the “Transparent” series after conducting investigations over allegations of harassment and sexual abuse .
According to Deadline, the former assistant to the actor, Van Barnes, wrote about the actor’s inappropriate behavior in a private publication on his Facebook account earlier this week.
The actress Trace Lysette, who has participated in some episodes of the series, also accused him of harassment.
The 73-year-old actor denies the allegations. In November, he announced that he would not return to the series , in which he plays a trans woman.
“I strongly reject and vehemently and vehemently deny any and all of the implications and allegations that I have ever committed any improper act in relation to this person or any other person I have ever worked with.”
Tambor won two Emmys and a Golden Globe for his work on the series.
